Course Description:
Today,
the number of medically compromised patients in the dental office is growing.
To meet the increased needs of those patients, dental offices are finding
it necessary to provide additional care through the office’s support staff,
dental hygienists and assistants. This
course provides information on the growing body of knowledge surrounding
women’s oral health issues. Developed
for dental hygienists and assistants, the course focuses on how various stages
of adult development coupled with the medically compromising conditions commonly
seen in women affect our patients as well as our ability to care for them.
